Draft for Pastor Ryan and authorized leadership to review. This page is not a certification of legal compliance.
Helpers support people
Department workflow helpers can explain approved procedures and offer planning prompts. A connected AI service, when separately approved and configured, may help authorized staff draft routine ministry materials. A workflow helper must be identified as such; it must not be represented as a live AI model when no model service is connected.
Pastoral and human authority
Assistants do not speak for God, determine church doctrine, replace the pastor, establish safeguarding decisions, or provide professional legal, medical, or financial advice. Teaching, Scripture quotations, and doctrinal wording require review by authorized church leadership. Verify facts and references against approved sources before using a draft.
What not to enter
Do not submit private prayer requests, pastoral counseling notes, children’s information, custody or safeguarding records, medical information, bank or donor details, passwords, access tokens, or stream keys to a department assistant. Use non-identifying summaries for ordinary planning. Role-based access to a workspace does not create permission to send confidential material to an external AI provider.
No autonomous ministry actions
Assistants may not independently publish church content, post to Facebook, contact people, send email or text, accept payments, alter bank details, grant access, or change security settings. An authorized person must review a proposed action and use the appropriate approved workflow.
Provider and retention disclosure
Before a live AI service is enabled, church leadership must approve its provider, permitted data, retention settings, access boundaries, and cost controls. The platform must clearly state when information is being sent to an external provider. No specific confidentiality, deletion, or model-training promise is made until those provider settings are verified.
